The neXus is a 5 inch racing quad frame designed by The RCAddict and the Tiny's LEDs team. The design has been put together over many months of testing and seeing what works. Each purchase of the frame will directly help support The RCAddict’s YouTube channel, with $5 of every purchase going towards him.
The main goal of the neXus was to create a stiffer mid section to prevent noise getting to the FC which can cause bad flight performance and hot motors. This is achieved by the use of two plates, a bottom and mid, that sandwich the arms and allow much less flex through the center section where the electronics are housed compared to a single plate. The mid plate also has a channel cut out that is the perfect size to hide a medium sized capacitor, which is ever important on 6s builds to also help reduce noise.
The neXus combines the use of 12.9 hardness steel screws, and 7075 aircraft grade aluminum screws to make sure that there is strength where it is needed, but to also reduce weight when possible. The top plate also has a hidden press fit nut in the center to allow for mounting things such as a GoPro mount. Say good bye to zip ties!
If choosing the premium version of the kit, also included is a FlipStick which takes the place of the traditional turtle fin, a custom VTX mount to house a SMA connector or AXII antenna as well as the FlipStick, a custom camera mount with fixed angle (buyer picks angle), and a laser cut rubber battery pad that fits on the bottom plate to help prevent the battery from slipping in the event of a crash.
